Vinnie Knight - Doin' Things for Her

Somehow I got my hands on this, part of a series of albums featuring the compositions of Gladys Shelley.   The 3 volume series also includes Carrie Smith's Only You Can Do It and Toni Arden's My World Is You.  They were all released on "GPRT Records" and produced by a Ben Arrigo.  This is great stuff in my opinion.

This is just such an amazing album in my opinion.   Smith had a wonderful strength to her voice, and the arrangements have a great blues-jazz sensibility.
